Better buttons or better mobility? Two Arms Warriors disagree on what the spec needs first

A 27 October forum proposal asks for an instant Slam, more Overpower triggers and Heroic Strike procs to make two-handed hits satisfying. A reply asks instead for Improved Intercept access, and the author says buttons come first.

A 27 October US forum thread addressed by name to Blizzard's Kaivax lays out what one Arms Warrior wants from the spec. Pudinorino's list is about attacks that feel worth pressing with a two-handed weapon. They ask for an instant Slam that, in their description, still wouldn't reset the swing timer; for Overpower to trigger on blocks, dodges, partial blocks, parries and misses, while keeping its full cooldown between uses; and for Mortal Strike critical hits to have a chance at an instant Heroic Strike so a slow weapon doesn't have to wait on its swing. They also propose a stronger base hit for the Spearing Strike talent. The author argues all of this would add some damage and actions without a dramatic jump, but that is their estimate, not a measured result.

Seven minutes later, another player, Archaeology, raised a different priority: move Improved Intercept from the Fury tree down to the second row so Arms Warriors can take it, unless Improved Charge is changed to work in combat. Pudinorino disagreed. They argued raid players can already find ways to charge, and said they would rather have "buttons worth pressing as arms" and "actual 2h hard crits."

That exchange is the useful part: two Arms players weighing satisfying attacks against easier mobility. Both are requests. Addressing the thread to Kaivax doesn't mean staff read or endorsed it, no staff replied in the thread, and the numbers, procs and talent moves are the posters' requests, which we haven't tested.
