Shaman rituals and Enchanter locks: one player's idea for hidden optional bosses

A 28 October Reddit reply imagines optional bosses revealed by class and profession interactions, from a Druid clearing thorns to an Alchemist dissolving a barrier, and asks for cosmetic rewards so they never become mandatory gear stops.

A 28 October Reddit question asked whether Forever players would want optional hard bosses behind special unlock conditions. One reply from Best-Willingness6736 turned the idea into specific access methods built around classes. They picture two or three Shamans performing an elemental ritual to put out a wall of fire or shift a massive stone, a Druid opening a wall of thorns in a dungeon such as Razorfen Downs, or a Mage dispelling arcane glyphs that seal a hidden room. The point, as they put it, is that you might be encouraged to bring certain classes so the group can attempt the optional boss if it wants to.

The same reply extends the idea to professions: an Enchanter disenchanting an enchanted lock, an Alchemist brewing acid to dissolve an obstacle, or an Engineer sabotaging a machine. It also asks for more bosses summoned with a specific item, citing Gahz'rilla's mallet as the model. On rewards, the author draws a clear line. Whether or not the bosses are hard, they would rather see titles, cosmetics or mounts than gear, so the extra encounter never becomes something everyone has to do to keep up.

Other replies in the thread split along the same line, with some players wanting optional fights to drop better gear and others wanting them cosmetic only. All of it is player suggestion: the thread describes no implemented encounter, class check or reward, and it isn't a sign that any is planned.
