One Legacy fan asks Blizzard to start with a 24-point spending cap
An EU forum post asks Blizzard to consider letting each character spend 24 Legacy Points at launch instead of 16, so perks earned on one character's adventures carry further into the next. Blizzard's published cap remains 16, set with catch-up and single-character play in mind.

Brewmaster's EU forum post, Blizzard, Let Every Adventure Leave a Legacy. Raise the Launch Cap, asks for one number to change. Instead of 16 spendable Legacy Points per character at launch, they suggest Blizzard "consider 24 spendable points per character at launch, all earned through gameplay", and call it a starting proposal for Blizzard to evaluate. Their reason is inheritance. A warrior who explores, levels professions and runs dungeons earns points; a priest rolled later benefits from a perk the warrior helped unlock. Brewmaster names conveniences they enjoy, among them Frequent Flier, The Quick and the Dead and Reagent Economy, and wants room for more of them while keeping real choices: a leveling character, a crafter and a dungeon regular could each spend differently.
The cap they want to raise comes from Blizzard's Legacy System overview, published on 23 September. It lists 65 Legacy Challenges, each worth one account-wide point, and limits spending to 16 points per character at launch. Blizzard gives two reasons: new players should not fall so far behind that they can't catch up, and 16 can be reached on a single character, which can earn up to 29 points, so alts aren't required. The earlier Deep Dive panel recap from 13 September adds that the cap is meant to keep players from feeling pressured to do everything at once, and lists "expanded spending caps" among additions the team expects over time. Brewmaster reads that as a reason for hope. Neither article gives a date or a figure for a higher cap; the post asks Blizzard to start higher.
