A creator’s early wand plan: bought motes, an 8-silver essence and maybe no Novice Wand

A 26 October r/wowforever thread from a player planning a Mage with Tailoring and Enchanting asked whether Enchanting pays off early at all, or whether starting with a gathering profession would make more sense. A 23 October video on the Kargoz channel offers one specific answer for the opening levels: an early route to the Lesser Magic Wand. We report its proposal from the video's automatic captions and have not checked vendor stock, recipes or prices.

As the captions describe it, the plan skips crafting linen items for the first 10 points of Enchanting. Instead you buy cheap motes from the vendor, about 10 copper each; the video itself isn't sure whether they are called motes of magic or of mana. The wand also needs one essence. The video puts that at 8 silver from the vendor, calls it the biggest share of the cost, and suggests disenchanting an early green quest reward in the hope of getting one instead. Leaving the essence aside, it totals the rest of the setup at 3 silver 12 copper.

The second choice is the Novice Wand. The video still likes getting it early, partly for how that trip fits with early Hearthstone use, but floats skipping or delaying it and going straight to the Lesser Magic Wand on a single city visit once you have a little more silver. It calls that idea experimental and undecided. The decisions it leaves you with are whether to buy or disenchant the essence, and whether one wand trip or two suits your opening.
