Can Healthstones crit? Why one forum thread had to separate potions, ‘special’ potions and Healthstones

A 26 October EU forum question turned on which exact consumable a remembered critical heal came from. The ten posts we captured do not identify it.

On 26 October a player asked on the European forums two separate questions. They understood that health potions can crit, so can Healthstones crit too? And is the chance random, or does your own critical strike chance decide it? One question is about which items, the other about the mechanism, and the thread shows why both depend on knowing the exact consumable.

The original poster's evidence was a memory: a streamer, during the beta duels, mentioning a Warlock's heal critting, which they thought might have been a Healthstone but weren't sure. Corblane first reasoned that Healthstones should crit if potions do, then revised that recollection: the crits they remembered came not from normal health potions but from a special kind, orange and with a chance of a debuff as they recalled it from memory, and perhaps basic potions can't crit after all. Later, Santti cited a quick search about earlier Classic and said Forever seems to follow it, while making that conclusion explicitly conditional on the beta recollection being right.

So the thread holds an unnamed clip, a corrected memory and another version's behavior, but no Forever tooltip or test, and we are not offering a crit rule. The useful takeaway is the question to ask the next time someone says their potion crit: which item, exactly?
