Blizzard’s 16 October development notes made three Warlock talent changes. They touch different trees and different schools, so they are easy to blur together.

Affliction: Shadow Mastery doubles

Shadow Mastery now increases your Shadow spell damage by 2%, 4%, 6%, 8% or 10% across its five ranks. It had been 1% to 5%.

It applies to Shadow spells. It is not a 10% increase to all Warlock damage, and Fire spells do not benefit.

Affliction: Grim Reach replaces Malediction

Malediction is gone. In its place, Grim Reach increases the range of your Affliction spells by 10% or 20%.

Destruction: Destructive Reach

Destructive Reach now increases the range of your Destruction spells by 10% or 20%.

Reading the reach talents correctly

Each reach talent extends the range of its own tree’s spells. Grim Reach does nothing for a Destruction spell, and Destructive Reach does nothing for an Affliction spell. Neither extends every Warlock spell, and the notes do not list which spells sit in which tree.

A note on reagents

The same build also fixed a bug that let Warlocks with the Reagent Economy Legacy perk summon an Incubus without a Soul Shard. The perk covers purchasable reagents, and shards are not among them; our Reagent Economy explainer has more.
