Levels 30 to 60 in Forever: the new quests and dungeons Blizzard has listed

Blizzard’s written plans put more than 150 new Riverglades quests in the mid-30s to mid-40s and six new dungeons between levels 28 and 60. What those posts say, and what they leave to the launch client.

Blizzard’s What’s Next panel recap, published on 12 September, says Forever adds more than a thousand new quests across the level 1–60 journey. It does not break that number down by level. For the second half of the climb, though, Blizzard’s written material gets specific in two places: one new zone, and a ladder of new dungeons.

The Riverglades

The one zone the recap gives a quest count for is the Riverglades, a new frontier of rivers, grasslands, trade routes and struggling communities. The recap gives it more than 150 new quests, covering much of the mid-30s to mid-40s.

One of the new dungeons sits in the same zone. Blizzard’s dungeon guide, published on 20 October, puts Krol’dok Stronghold in the Riverglades at levels 40–45. In its story, ogre outrunners kidnap travelers and raid communities across the region.

The recap also names Mount Hyjal, where players help restore the land after Archimonde’s defeat. It names Shen’dralas too, a long-hidden area between Mulgore and Desolace tied to the Shen’dralar, Eldre’Thalas, Dire Maul and the region’s centaur tribes. It gives no level ranges for either, so this article does not place them on the curve.

New dungeons from 28 to 60

The 20 October guide lists six new five-player dungeons in this part of the climb:

  • City of Dalaran, 28–33, in the Alterac Mountains, with an attunement questline
  • The Drowned City, 35–40, off the Stranglethorn coast
  • Krol’dok Stronghold, 40–45, in the Riverglades
  • Alcaz Prison, 48–53, in Dustwallow Marsh
  • Blackmaw Hold, 55–60, in Azshara
  • Shaper’s Terrace, 58–60, in Un’Goro Crater

After launch

In the recap’s roadmap, more quests throughout the level 1–60 journey come after launch, alongside further raids, dungeons, PvP updates and Hardcore. These are plans. The recap gives no dates for them.

What the beta could show

Blizzard’s 17 September beta announcement set the level cap at 20, and the 1 October build notes raised it to a maximum of 30. Under that cap, the brackets above 30 could not be played at their intended levels in the beta builds those posts describe. How that test was run is covered in How Forever’s beta was limited.

What these posts leave open

The posts reviewed for this article give no leveling times and no changes to experience requirements. Beyond the Riverglades, they give no quest counts for any zone, and they give no level ranges for Hyjal or Shen’dralas. They also do not say how the new quests are spread through the 40s and 50s. Those answers will have to come from the launch client.
