Can mail or the Auction House cross Forever’s rulesets? What two Blizzard sources say, and what they leave open
A 26 October forum question asks whether one realmless region means one economy. Blizzard’s 17 September Q&A answer and 22 October ruleset guide cover regions and grouping, but neither compares mail or trading between rulesets.

Forever drops the old realm list, and that raises an economy question. On 26 October a player on the European forums asked it directly: with “one server” per region, are mail and the Auction House connected across rulesets? The only reply in the saved thread came from another player, who said their understanding from the beta was that mailboxes only work within the ruleset you are on. That is a player's recollection, not an answer from Blizzard.
Blizzard has addressed neighboring questions. In its Developer Q&A published on 17 September, asked whether Oceanic players would get Sydney-hosted servers, the reply (as the video's automatic captions record it) said Forever is going realmless but not regionless, that Oceanic players would mostly be hosted in Australian data centers, and that they would share the same ruleset-wide Auction House with their US friends. The ruleset guide, updated on 22 October, says grouping, dungeons and raids stay within a ruleset, that cross-ruleset grouping is not supported, and that Collections and Legacy Points are account-wide across rulesets.
Neither source compares mail or Auction Houses between two different rulesets. “Ruleset-wide” describes one ruleset's market reaching players in different places; it doesn't say whether a Normal character can mail or trade with a PvP one. Separate grouping doesn't prove separate economies either. None of the material we inspected answers it directly, so the forum question stays open.
