At a glance
Blizzard announces over 600 new Forever recipes across professions and level ranges. The examples here use current beta recipe records and item tooltips, with vendor details where they are established. Use this page to choose a useful craft and its access path; use the linked profession guide for a skill route.
This is public-source research, not our own game test. Learning skill, recipe binding, finished-item binding, wearer level, currency, standing and station are separate checks. Higher-level examples remain planning targets while the beta is capped at level 30. Reagents below are per crafting action; public sources disagree about some embedded output counts, so confirm actual output before promising a sale batch.
Earning Merchant's Favor
The profession camps sell many new recipes for Merchant's Favor, earned by filling and returning Waylaid Crates. Alliance uses the Azeroth Commerce Authority at Three Corners in western Redridge; Horde uses Durotar Supply and Logistics just outside the Crossroads' west gate. Favor is tracked per character in the current beta, so fund the crafter who must buy a soulbound recipe.
- Find a Waylaid Crate while playing, or buy an unfilled one from the Auction House. Inspect its required character level and accepted materials first.
- Supply one listed bundle. For example, Apprentice Textiles requires level 10 and accepts either 40 Linen Cloth or 20 Light Leather; it does not consume both alternatives.
- Fill the crate to produce a Sealed crate, which binds on pickup. Return it to Marcy Baker at the Alliance camp or Dokimi at the Horde camp for Favor.
- Complete the one-time introductory Shipping Label quest when it appears: the current faction quest records give 50 Favor and 2,000 camp reputation, enough Favor for one of the showcased 30- or 45-Favor recipes. For later purchases, check the recipe's standing requirement as well as its Favor price.
Reputation is a separate requirement: normal Sealed-crate returns award Favor, while Craftsman's Writ deliveries build the camp reputation needed by later recipes. A writ asks for a specific crafted item delivered to its customer; it is not another Favor-paying crate. The current camp and currency reference gives the broader crate and writ list. Compare a crate's material cost with its reward before buying a large batch; fixed profit and drop-rate promises are unreliable.
Useful current low-level crafts
| Craft | Learning gate and recipe binding | Reagents per action | Useful result and access |
|---|---|---|---|
| Linen Reagent Bag | Tailoring 5; tradeable pattern | 6 Bolt of Linen Cloth, 6 Coarse Thread | Six-slot reagent bag; Valdaron in Auberdine for Alliance or Wrahk at the Crossroads for Horde |
| Light Leather Reagent Bag | Leatherworking 30; pattern binds on pickup | 8 Light Leather, 1 Cured Light Hide, 3 Coarse Thread | Six-slot reagent bag; Alliance crafter buys from Saenorion in Darnassus; see the Leatherworking guide for the reported Horde quest lead |
| Tasty Raptor Bites | Cooking 25; recipe binds on pickup | 1 Raptor Egg, 4 Mild Spices | Eat for ten seconds to gain 1 Intellect and 5% experience from kills for 15 minutes; obtain the recipe before farming eggs |
| Simple Poultice | First Aid 90 in the current catalog | 1 Spider Ichor, 1 Mild Spices, 1 Bottle of Dalaran Noir | Treats disease effects through effect level 25, out of combat only; one-minute cooldown |
| Woolen Tourniquet | First Aid 120 in the current catalog | 2 Wool Cloth, 2 Fine Thread | Treats bleed effects through effect level 30, out of combat only; one-minute cooldown |
A Linen bag craft uses 12 raw Linen Cloth because each bolt needs two cloth. Reagent storage is a separate item type from an ordinary all-purpose bag. The Leatherworking pattern is soulbound even though its finished bag binds on equip. Optional crafts add to a leveling route's material budget.
The standard healing-potion line belongs to First Aid in the current route; it is not an Alchemy finish. Poison treatments are separate from the two out-of-combat curatives: Anti-Venom reaches effect level 25, Strong 35, new Potent 45 and Powerful 65, with individual learning gates. The Cooking and First Aid guides explain their routes and remaining manual-access limits.
Blacksmithing: a personal mail helm
Acolyte's Silvered Chain Helm is a current example of the new role-oriented equipment. Its plan requires Blacksmithing 95, while the finished mail helm requires character level 20 and grants 9 Stamina, up to 21 healing and 7 spell damage. Both the plan and the finished helm bind on pickup. A non-Blacksmith cannot buy this finished item from another player and equip it.
Each craft uses 15 Bronze Bars, 6 Coarse Grinding Stones, 4 Silver Bars, 4 Pristine Leather and 6 Strange Dust, with a Blacksmith Hammer. Those last two inputs come from outside ordinary Mining supplies. Obtain the plan before collecting the full batch.
Current vendor records list the plan for 30 Merchant's Favor from Stondry Darkhammer at Three Corners, Redridge Mountains for Alliance, or Gor'mak outside the Crossroads' west gate in the Barrens for Horde. Take the actual Blacksmith because the plan is soulbound. The Blacksmithing guide covers the main material route and conditional upper patterns.
Alchemy: dyes connect the professions
The new dye recipes turn Scarce Herbalism inputs into reagents used by Tailoring and other crafts. Current data lists these as trainer recipes, but buy only after the appropriate entry is available in your client.
| Dye | Listed Alchemy learning skill | Inputs per craft |
|---|---|---|
| Cerulean Dye | 40 | 2 Frilled Lichen, 1 Empty Vial |
| Magenta Dye | 120 | 2 Rosecap, 1 Leaded Vial |
| Viridian Dye | 215 | 2 Stranglevine, 1 Crystal Vial |
These are not the ordinary colored dyes sold by a trade supplier. Check the exact dye name when a pattern asks for ten Viridian Dye or one Cerulean Dye. The Mooncloth bag below is one concrete reason to keep them. The Alchemy guide supplies a separate skill route that does not require spending scarce inputs on every point.
New stat potions, elixirs, flasks and damage consumables also have their own cooldown and stacking rules. A named recipe in a catalog establishes its recorded bill; it does not establish an available vendor, a permanent market price or an economical leveling step.
Enchanting: a Druid relic you must craft yourself
Mystic Mushroom is an Idol for Druids at level 20 and increases Spirit by 5% in its current tooltip. The formula requires Enchanting 130. Both formula and finished relic bind on pickup, so this is a personal craft for a Druid Enchanter rather than a tradeable relic service for every Druid.
Its bill is 1 Small Glimmering Shard, 2 Greater Magic Essences, 5 Strange Dust and 1 Red-speckled Mushroom, with a Runed Silver Rod. The rod is a tool, not an ingredient consumed by each relic craft.
Current vendor records list the formula for 45 Merchant's Favor from Alynsia at Three Corners for Alliance or Beneris outside the Crossroads' west gate for Horde. Other class relics have their own formulas, class restrictions and binding. The Enchanting guide explains rods and a material route that does not depend on selling crafted wands for their old vendor value.
Leatherworking: upgrade the correct armor kit
Mystic Medium Armor Kit requires Leatherworking 80 to learn and character level 15 to use. It adds 2 spell power and 16 Armor to a chest, leg, hand or foot item. The current pattern is tradeable, unlike the soulbound bag pattern above. Vendor leads include Saenorion in Darnassus for Alliance and Mahu in Thunder Bluff for Horde.
Each craft consumes 1 finished Medium Armor Kit, 2 Strange Dust and 2 Minor Mana Potions. It does not take one piece of Medium Leather in place of the finished kit. Compare the item's existing enhancement before applying a permanent kit, and check the actual target slot. Forceful kits are a different damage-stat line with different potion inputs.
This combines Leatherworking, Enchanting materials and Alchemy potions. Include those purchases in the real cost instead of pricing only the leather. The Leatherworking guide provides the ordinary route and specialization preparation.
Engineering: a thrown weapon, not a stack of bombs
Satchel of Copper Bombs is a Unique, bind-on-pickup thrown weapon. It requires character level 13, Engineering 85 and suitable thrown-weapon use. Its ranged attacks add a small Fire explosion around the target, so keep it away from nearby Sap, Polymorph or another controlled enemy. This is different from clicking a normal bomb consumable.
The schematic also binds on pickup and requires Engineering 85. Current vendor records list it for 45 Merchant's Favor from Fritz Fizzle at Three Corners for Alliance or Fizzlefuse outside the Crossroads' west gate for Horde.
Each craft needs 20 finished Rough Copper Bombs, 6 Light Leather and 4 Handfuls of Copper Bolts. Count the bombs in your bags, not 20 bomb-making actions: the component recipe can make multiple items. The finished weapon cannot be sold to another character. Keep this optional equipment bill separate from the Engineering leveling route.
Tailoring: plan an advanced reagent bag
Mooncloth Reagent Bag is an 18-slot reagent bag whose current pattern requires Tailoring 255 and Barkskin Burrow Honored. The pattern binds on pickup; the finished bag binds when equipped. The current database lists Dala Fairmaw in Mount Hyjal as its vendor. This is a later access target, not a promise that a level-30 beta character can visit that vendor or buy the pattern now. Confirm the vendor's current currency and stock before farming toward it.
The per-craft bill is 4 Bolt of Runecloth, 1 Mooncloth, 1 Rune Thread, 10 Viridian Dye, 1 Magenta Dye and 1 Cerulean Dye. Four Runecloth bolts represent 20 raw Runecloth. The three new dyes are Alchemy products; ordinary vendor dye does not replace them. Recipe access, Mooncloth production and the dye supply are separate preparation steps.
A Tailor who already has the pattern can plan a sale of the finished BoE bag; a buyer cannot transfer the soulbound pattern to an alt. The Tailoring guide covers the cheaper early reagent bag and conditional high-skill material progression.
Find more current recipes
The current catalogs below cover more than this selected list. Use them to discover names, learning skills and reagent bills, then verify the actual source and binding before a farming trip. A catalog's inherited quest or vendor record is not proof that the acquisition exists in the current beta.

Check acquisition before the material batch
- Identify the exact plan, pattern, formula, schematic, manual or blueprint, rather than only the finished item's name.
- Check learning skill, character level, prerequisite or specialization, and the recipe's binding. A soulbound recipe requires the actual crafter to travel.
- For vendors, check faction access, standing, currency and stock. The Alliance Three Corners vendors are not a Horde shopping route.
- Check finished-item binding, wearer level, class and profession requirements. A craft can be useful without being sellable.
- Read the complete bill, including intermediate items, carried tools and the required workstation. The camping guide maps current camp gates and known blueprint drops.
- Inspect skill color and actual output before making the full batch. A desirable finished item need not be a cheap skill-up.
For recipes without a named acquisition above, the unresolved field is their actual trainer, vendor, quest or drop access. Higher-level station availability and final launch distribution also remain untested here. Buy toward an identified craft instead of collecting speculative ingredients for an unconfirmed complete catalog.
