On Blizzard’s official PvP episode of The WoW: Forever Podcast, published on 15 October, a question asked whether a little graveyard jump in Warsong Gulch would stay or be removed. The answer would not promise either way, and explained how the question is approached instead.
Creative play or exploit
The reply described a fine line between creative use of game mechanics and an exploit, and said knowing the tricks is part of the skill expression of the early battlegrounds. It said the people who work on PvP systems keep looking at this, and that the respondent did not want to promise a jump would stay in, only for it to be fixed before launch or shortly after.
It depends on behavior, the reply said. If something is abused or becomes truly degenerate, they would have to step in. As much as possible, the aim is for strategies and the way people play to feel like the original game.
Flag stalling
The answer also said they were actively trying to fix places that players can reach illegitimately and use to stall games with the flag. That was described as work in progress on 15 October. It is not a list of spots that have been fixed.
Not one-and-done
Battlegrounds will not be a one-and-done thing, the reply said. They would keep monitoring how people play them and try to stamp out strategies they do not consider fair.
What the answer did not settle
It named no route, approved no jump and listed no completed fix. Do not read it as a ruling on any particular trick.
This account paraphrases the 15 October recording. It is not a transcript, and it does not describe the live game.
