Cenarion Circle Reputation
Plan Cenarion Circle for Forever with inherited text, summon and badge routes, profession gates and the unlocks still to confirm.
Researched from public sources, not tested in game. Some details come from Classic and may differ in Forever.
At a glance
Forever planning status: Use this guide to plan Cenarion Circle progression in WoW: Forever. The rates, caps, quest steps and reward gates below are inherited Classic reference; their Forever tuning and availability remain unconfirmed. Check the actual quest unlocks and vendors before buying texts or summon materials. Forever's Legacy Diplomat perk and racial bonuses can change gains; use your actual displayed reputation per turn-in when converting the base figures below into a shopping list.
Inherited Classic baseline:
Cenarion Circle reputation centers on Cenarion Hold in Silithus. Both factions can earn its profession recipes, Silithus battlegear and AQ20 class-set rewards. Most characters start Neutral; Druids may already have reputation from class quests.
Brood of Nozdormu is a different faction: its Bronze Dragonflight rings and AQ40 Tier 2.5 requirements do not use this reputation bar.
From 0 Neutral, the bars require 3,000 to Friendly, 6,000 more to Honored, 12,000 to Revered and 21,000 to Exalted. The full Neutral-to-Exalted climb is 42,000 before bonuses.
How to gain it at each standing
Neutral to Honored: collect texts while clearing quests
- Take the Silithus quests at Cenarion Hold, especially the Twilight's Hammer investigations. At level 57 or above, finish Secret Communication with Bor Wildmane to open the Encrypted Twilight Texts repeatable.
- Kill cultists in the Twilight camps. Eligible ordinary cultists grant small kill reputation until Honored, and drop Encrypted Twilight Texts and the three Twilight Cultist disguise pieces.
- Keep the texts if you want to use capped kill reputation first. Turn them in earlier if a specific recipe is the immediate goal. Ten texts give 100 base reputation through Exalted.
- Add relevant quests from Moonglade, Maraudon and the other Cenarion quest chains you already intend to complete. Do not travel the whole world for low-value one-time turn-ins before checking local text prices.
At a base 100 reputation per ten texts, each text represents 10 reputation. Starting at exactly 0/12,000 Honored, texts alone would cost 3,300 for the remaining 33,000 to Exalted. Starting at 0 Revered takes 2,100 texts. Subtract quest and raid gains before buying them.
Honored and Revered: repeatables and AQ20
| Method | What to do | Planning limit |
|---|---|---|
| Encrypted Twilight Texts | Bring batches of 10 to Bor Wildmane at Cenarion Hold | Reliable through Exalted; auction-house price can dominate the cost |
| Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj | Clear AQ20 trash and bosses | Kill reputation continues through Exalted; the raid has a three-day reset in Classic |
| Wind Stone summons | Use cultist disguises and the appropriate rank's medallion or ring | Higher summons require standing, materials and a group; do not spend all disguise pieces blindly |
| Abyssal item turn-ins | Hand in the relevant crests, signets or scepters after their unlock quests | These items also fund higher summons, so compare their use before handing them in |
| Field Duty assignments | Collect a signed field report, then take Combat, Logistics or Tactical work from Cenarion Hold | Depends on the server's content phase and the specific assignment |
| Mortal Champions | Turn in AQ40 Qiraji Lord's Insignias to Kandrostrasz | Grants 100 Cenarion Circle as well as 500 Brood reputation |
Normal cultist kill reputation is too small to be a fast late grind even before it caps. Twilight Prophet is a useful text-drop target when available, but a contested rare spawn is not a dependable hourly plan. Include your planned AQ20 clears when calculating how many texts to buy.
Wind Stone preparation
The summon-item and Abyssal item quests below require level 60. Wear Twilight Cultist Cowl, Mantle and Robe before touching a lesser Wind Stone to summon a Templar. Each summon consumes its disguise components, so prepare a fresh set for each attempt. For the higher ranks, work through Aurel Goldleaf's introduction and material quests:
| Summon | Minimum standing for your own summon-item quest | Equipment and material bill |
|---|---|---|
| Templar, lesser Wind Stone | No additional standing item | Cowl, Mantle and Robe; the Templar drops an Abyssal Crest |
| Duke, Wind Stone | Friendly: Dukes of the Council, then Medallion of Station | Fresh three-piece disguise plus a Medallion, made for 3 Abyssal Crests and 1 Large Brilliant Shard |
| Lord, greater Wind Stone | Revered: Lords of the Council, then Twilight Ring of Lordship | Fresh disguise, Medallion and Ring; the Ring costs 3 Abyssal Signets and 5 Large Brilliant Shards |
The standing gates above are for obtaining your own Medallions or Rings; another eligible group member can summon for your group. Assemble everyone before triggering the stone, and reserve crests and signets for the next rank before turning them in for reputation. A Lord summon still needs the Medallion as well as the Ring. Finished Medallions and Rings are tradable in this baseline, so compare buying them with the listed quest exchange; the Ring itself requires level 60.
Bor Wildmane's repeatable Abyssal turn-ins continue through Exalted:
| Repeatable | Unlock | Batch and base reputation |
|---|---|---|
| Abyssal Crests | Complete Abyssal Contacts by bringing the first Templar's Crest | 3 Crests for 50 |
| Abyssal Signets | Honored and Signet of the Dukes | 3 Signets for 100 |
| Abyssal Scepters | Revered and Scepter of the Council | 3 Scepters for 150 |
The introductory quests consume their own proof items before the repeatables open. Compare those turn-ins with using Crests for a Medallion or Signets for a Ring; the same items cannot fund both. Crests, Signets and Scepters can be traded, so purchased batches are an option after your own repeatable unlocks. Compare the complete three-item price with the reputation in the table, not with one item's price.
Rewards by standing
Vargus, Mishta, Aendel Windspear and Kania sell profession recipes at Cenarion Hold. The following are useful targets; crafting skill and the materials remain separate requirements.
| Standing | Useful profession examples | AQ20 three-piece class set |
|---|---|---|
| Friendly | Greater Fire Resistance cloak enchant, Ironvine Belt, Heavy Obsidian Belt, Cenarion Herb Bag, Sylvan Shoulders, Bramblewood Belt, Spitfire and Sandstalker Bracers | No class-set turn-in yet |
| Honored | Greater Nature Resistance cloak enchant, Ironvine Gloves, Light Obsidian Belt, Sylvan Crown, Bramblewood Boots and Spitfire Gauntlets | Class ring |
| Revered | Ironvine Breastplate, Sylvan Vest, Satchel of Cenarius, Gaea's Embrace and Bramblewood Helm | Class cloak |
| Exalted | Dreamscale Breastplate and Obsidian Mail Tunic recipes | Class weapon |
AQ20 class quests require Qiraji tokens, scarabs and idols in addition to Cenarion Circle standing. Speak to Windcaller Yessendra for rings, Keyl Swiftclaw for cloaks and Warden Haro for weapons. Do not confuse their three-piece sets with AQ40's five-piece Tier 2.5 armor.
Dreamscale Breastplate needs Leatherworking 300 and Dragonscale specialization. Obsidian Mail Tunic needs Blacksmithing 300, and its plans are sold by Lieutenant General Andorov inside AQ20 rather than by the Hold vendors. Kania's two cloak formulas need Enchanting 300.
Field Duty and battlegear
At level 60, take Field Duty at Cenarion Hold, complete the event at your faction's nearby encampment and return the signed report. Choose Combat, Logistics or Tactical assignments according to the badges your reward still needs. Combat work requires the named kills; Logistics spends specified materials; Tactical work has its own objectives. Read a briefing before buying its ingredients, and keep useful follow-up briefings. Combat, Logistics and Tactical Badges, plus the named Marks below, bind on pickup. Complete the assignments on the character receiving the battlegear; you can buy many material inputs, but cannot transfer the earned badges from an alt.
Complete Cenarion Battlegear with Vargus, then plan the full bill for your chosen reward. Two common goals are:
| Goal | Standing | Badges and additional mark |
|---|---|---|
| Rockfury Bracers, a Stalwart's Battlegear choice | Revered | 15 Combat, 20 Logistics, 17 Tactical and 1 Mark of Remulos |
| Earthstrike, a Champion's Battlegear choice | Exalted | 15 Combat, 20 Logistics, 20 Tactical and 1 Mark of Cenarius |
Mark of Remulos comes from The Ultimate Deception, started by Logistics Task Briefing XI. Its bill is 1 Skin of Shadow, 3 Frayed Abomination Stitchings and 1 Twilight Cultist Robe. Mark of Cenarius comes from The Four Dukes, started by Tactical Task Briefing V: summon and kill all four different Dukes while on that assignment. Obtain the required briefing before doing the kills or gathering materials; a generic badge does not replace the mark, and repeated random summons may produce the same Duke.
Tips
- Keep one bag slot plan for texts, one for disguise sets and one for summon items. They serve different purposes.
- Farming 1-reputation cultists after the kill cap adds no direct reputation, but their text drops remain useful.
- Check whether your realm has the relevant Silithus phase before buying summon materials or planning Field Duty rewards.
- Combine AQ20 class-set runs with this grind, then use texts to fill the exact gap to your next reward. Its ring, cloak and weapon quests turn in at Cenarion Hold, using the correct class-token family plus scarabs and idols.
