Timbermaw Hold Reputation
Plan Timbermaw Hold for Forever with inherited tunnel access, repeatables and crafting rewards, while tuning awaits confirmation.

At a glance
Forever planning status: Use this guide to plan Timbermaw Hold progression in WoW: Forever. The rates, caps, quest steps and reward gates below are inherited Classic reference; their Forever tuning and availability remain unconfirmed. Check the actual repeatable unlocks and kill gains before choosing a farming camp. Forever's Legacy Diplomat perk and racial bonuses can change gains; use your actual displayed reputation per turn-in when converting the base figures below into a shopping list.
Inherited Classic baseline:
Timbermaw Hold connects northern Felwood, Winterspring and Moonglade. You start Hostile. Reach Unfriendly to pass the tunnel without the Timbermaw attacking; Neutral is not required for passage. Do not kill Timbermaw guards while working on their reputation. Deadwood and Winterfall furbolgs are the enemies you want.
Both factions can earn the same rewards. Alliance characters can overlap Winterfall kills with the separate Wintersaber Trainers grind. Reputation belongs to this character, not every character on the account.
The Classic starting balance is 2,500/3,000 Hostile, so only 500 reputation is needed for Unfriendly passage. Afterward you need 3,000 through Unfriendly to Neutral, 3,000 to Friendly, 6,000 to Honored, 12,000 to Revered and 21,000 to Exalted. Bonuses reduce the required farming.
How to gain it at each standing
Hostile to Unfriendly: open the tunnel
- At level 45 or above, speak to Grazle near southern Felwood's entrance, around 50, 85. Take Timbermaw Ally and kill the requested Deadwood furbolgs in southern Felwood.
- Turn it in and unlock Feathers for Grazle. Collect Deadwood Headdress Feathers while killing Deadwood furbolgs. A batch of 5 gives 50 reputation.
- Follow Speak to Nafien to the northern tunnel entrance, around 65, 8. Finish Deadwood of the North in northern Felwood, which unlocks Feathers for Nafien.
- Continue killing and turning in feathers until the reputation panel says Unfriendly. Put pets on passive, check that At War is off when the game permits it, and pass through without hitting the guards.
Unfriendly through Honored: unlock both repeatables
Speak to Salfa outside the Winterspring end of the tunnel. Finish Winterfall Activity, then take Beads for Salfa when you reach level 50: 5 Winterfall Spirit Beads give 50 reputation. The introductory kill quest can be done earlier, but the repeatable has its own level gate; use Felwood feathers until you can accept it. Feathers go to Grazle or Nafien; beads go to Salfa. One batch works the same regardless of which feather NPC you use.
Normal Deadwood and Winterfall kills give 5 reputation until Revered. Named enemies give more per kill, but travel and waiting can erase that advantage. Farm a dense camp you can kill safely. At Neutral, take the one-time Deadwood Ritual Totem and Winterfall Ritual Totem quests to Kernda inside the hold if you have the drops.
Save feathers, beads and unrestricted one-time quests for Revered if you can spare the bag space. Turning them in earlier is sensible when you need immediate tunnel access or a specific recipe.
Revered to Exalted: turn in the saved drops
Normal furbolg kills stop paying at Revered, but they still drop the feathers and beads needed for repeatables. Starting at exactly 0/21,000 Revered takes 420 batches, or 2,100 feathers and beads combined, at the base 50 reputation per batch. Both feathers and beads bind on pickup, so collect them on the character earning this reputation; they cannot be bought or transferred from an alt. Subtract saved quests and bonuses before farming the full amount.
Do not plan a repeatable Runecloth shortcut. Meilosh's Runecloth and the Tailoring-only Sacred Cloth quest are one-time contributions, not an endless cloth grind. Continue farming the enemy camps for turn-in drops when the kill reputation stops.
Rewards by standing
Meilosh sells profession recipes inside the hold. Gorn One Eye sells the medicine items. Many recipes bind to the purchaser: use the character who has the required profession.
| Standing | Useful unlocks |
|---|---|
| Unfriendly | Safe tunnel passage, provided you do not attack the tribe |
| Friendly | Transmute: Earth to Water; Warbear Harness and Warbear Woolies; Enchant 2H Weapon: Agility |
| Honored | Enchant Weapon: Agility; Wisdom of the Timbermaw; Might of the Timbermaw; Heavy Timbermaw Belt; Furbolg Medicine Pouch and Furbolg Medicine Totem |
| Revered | Mantle of the Timbermaw, Timbermaw Brawlers and Heavy Timbermaw Boots |
| Exalted | The Root of All Evil quest chain and Defender of the Timbermaw trinket |
For the inherited Defender trinket:
- At Exalted, take The Root of All Evil from Gorn One Eye inside Timbermaw Hold and check for the supplied Demon Summoning Torch.
- Bring a group to the mouth of High Chief Winterfall's cave in Winterfall Village, Winterspring. Clear the area and plant the torch only when everyone is ready; it summons Xandivious.
- After defeating him, open Xandivious' Demon Bag on the ground for the Essence of Xandivious. Return the Essence to Gorn for Defender of the Timbermaw. Do not leave after finding an empty demon corpse.
The later Brokering of Peace delivery goes to King Magni in Ironforge for Alliance or Thrall in Orgrimmar for Horde. It is a separate follow-up, not an extra requirement for receiving the trinket.
Tips
- Collect the introduction quests before grinding. Feathers and beads need their respective unlock quests, not merely a large stack in your bags.
- Keep full stacks until the final climb and count in batches of five. Partial batches cannot be handed in.
- Avoid collateral damage in the hold. Killing one friendly tribe member throws away reputation you just earned.
- On Alliance, Winterfall Intrusion for Wintersaber Trainers can share kills with bead farming. It does not merge the two reputation bars or grant Timbermaw reputation on every unrelated Wintersaber quest.
