Forever planning status: Naxxramas's release and attunement have not been confirmed for WoW: Forever. Use the inherited Classic thresholds, costs and entrance below to plan materials; verify the actual quest before spending them. These are not confirmed Forever access requirements.
Inherited Classic baseline:
Naxxramas access is a one-time personal attunement through The Dread Citadel: Naxxramas. At level 60, reach at least Honored with the Argent Dawn, then speak to Archmage Angela Dosantos at Light's Hope Chapel in eastern Eastern Plaguelands. Every raider needs their own completed flag; there is no shared raid key.
Steps in order
- Reach Honored or above. Check Argent Dawn in the reputation panel. Wear an Argent Dawn Commission-compatible trinket while farming eligible undead for Scourgestones. Scholomance, Stratholme, quests and turn-ins continue the climb: see the Argent Dawn reputation guide.
- Choose when to pay. Use the table below for your current standing. You can attune at Honored if the raid date matters more than the discount. Exalted removes the bill, but is not required to enter.
- Bring the materials to Angela. Accept and complete the version of The Dread Citadel: Naxxramas matching your standing at Light's Hope Chapel. Finish the dialogue and turn-in; having Honored and the materials in your bank does not flag the character.
- Travel to Plaguewood. The Classic teleport spire is in northern Eastern Plaguelands, around 39, 26. Enter its runic teleport circle while in the raid group after attuning. It is not beside Light's Hope Chapel or at the eastern zone gate.
- Check access before raid time. Confirm the completed quest and pack the raid's consumables. There is no amulet to equip and no weekly attunement payment.

Arcane Crystals come from mining eligible thorium deposits, or from buying the mined crystals. Nexus Crystals come from disenchanting eligible high-level epic equipment. Righteous Orbs drop from Scarlet enemies in Stratholme's living side. All three can be bought or supplied by the guild; you do not need the gathering professions yourself.
Decide whether to grind the discount
From Honored to Revered is a 12,000-point bar. From Revered to Exalted is 21,000. Moving from Honored to Revered saves 30 gold, 3 Arcane Crystals, 1 Nexus Crystal and the Righteous Orb. Moving from Revered to Exalted saves the remaining 30 gold, 2 Arcane Crystals and 1 Nexus Crystal.
Compare those savings with your planned dungeon runs, available turn-ins and raid date. If you are already nearly Revered, delay the payment until the next standing. If you are freshly Honored and the group is entering tonight, paying once may be more useful than missing the raid to farm a free attunement.
If something goes wrong
- Angela has no applicable quest: check level, Argent Dawn standing, whether the quest was already completed, and whether this content is available on the realm.
- Materials are present but the turn-in fails: check exact item names and quantities in your bags. Arcane Crystals and Nexus Crystals are different items.
- Teleport pad does nothing: use the Plaguewood spire, confirm the personal flag and join the raid group. Another character's completion does not count.
- Reputation increases after paying: the earlier payment is not refunded. Finish any imminent standing gain before the turn-in.
Tips
Arrange a guild material collection before progression starts. A single checklist with each raider's standing and completed flag prevents a late trip back to Light's Hope. Do not ask every raider to farm to Exalted solely for access; Honored is enough.
